Thank you for standing behind the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act (DREAM Act) in the first round of voting on Change.org! Due in large part to the online community’s mobilization, the DREAM Act ultimately became the top-ranked immigration idea on the website’s “Top 10 Ideas for Change in America” contest. The DREAM Act has been fluctuating between 10th and 11th place in the overall tally, meaning that it needs more votes to guarantee it will be included as one of the ten final ideas that will be presented to the Obama administration on January 16, 2009.
To continue the act’s impressive momentum, make sure to submit a final vote for the DREAM Act on Change.org by THURSDAY, JANUARY 15. Immediately following the final round of votes, Change.org will hold a press conference to present the “Top 10 Ideas for Change.” More importantly, Change.org will launch a national advocacy campaign behind each idea. Your votes are needed to build advocacy strength around the DREAM Act and demonstrate resounding support for change in our immigration policies.
